Hi - I’m Pownce’s Tad! Welcome to tadSpot.com! Please excuse me as I read this text that I’m too lazy to rehearse or memorize!
This is probably the third or fourth incarnation of TADSpot since 2003. I’ve blogged for a good while longer than that though. I don’t really mind, though. that previous versions of tadSpot aren’t so easy to find since they’re no longer hosted. That’s just the dynamic nature of the internet and the universe.
I’m married. I live in Phoenix, AZ with my wife and son. I am a .NET component developer with nearly 12 years experience. I’m currently looking for a new job, so if you’re hiring or know someone who is, let’s talk!
Below this video you’ll see the various social identities that I currently use about the internet. Right now I’m a pretty heavy twitter, pownce, and friendfeed user. Please use the links to follow me on those networks and I’ll be sure to return the favor.
I’m also relatively active in Second Life. I firmly believe that the metaverse (which I use to refer to virtual worlds like Second Life in general) is the future of the web. We’re not there yet by any means, but each day brings us closer. If you haven’t already created an avatar in Second Life, please do so. It’s completely free and you’re missing out on a lot of fun and a lot of amazing works of beautiful art. Second Life is an amazing place.
The name of my avatar in Second Life is Tad McConachie. I am the proud owner and creator of the virtual Robert Anton Wilson Memorial. Ole’ Bob is one of my biggest heroes. Please visit the memorial to learn more about him and/or pay your respects. I’ll try to remember to add a SLURL to this page.
This blog does not exist in a vacuum. It is not a self-contained pocket of Tad-ness. No, my presence in cyberspace is widely dispersed. I can’t conclude my About Me video without mentioning Pownce. Pownce is currently my favorite internets social venue. Nearly every evening I’m on pownce posting crazy stuff sharing nonsense with my Pownce buddies. The Tad’s Random Things videos that you’ll eventually see on tadSpot grew out of my desire to entertain a few of my pownce friends. You know who you are!
Hopefully you’ll find something interesting on tadSpot, but if you don’t that’s totally cool with me. This is something I’m doing for myself because it amuses, stimulates and entertains me. I’m also doing it for a few select folk who I know enjoy my own brand of nonsense.
